About the Founder:

Corinthia "Ms. CiCi" Alford

Pink Sugar

The founder of The Money Pot is a serial entrepreneur whose relationship with business started early and never stopped evolving.

Long before most people understood what entrepreneurship meant, she was already immersed in it. In high school, she was selected for a Business Magnate program, gaining early exposure to how companies are built, scaled, and sustained. That foundation shaped how she would approach business for the rest of her life: strategically, globally, and with intention.

She went on to study International Relations and Sociology at the University of Virginia, where she attended and graduated, combining a deep understanding of global systems with the study of human behavior, power structures, and economics. Her academic excellence led to her winning a competitive School of Commerce internship in China through the University of Virginia, where she gained firsthand experience with international business, global markets, and cross-cultural operations.

During this experience, she studied advanced marketing strategies and learned how to conduct transactional business within highly successful retail stores, mass cargo shipping and logistics companies, and large scale manufacturing operations across clothing, consumer devices, and technology sectors. This exposure included working alongside established global enterprises such as GOME, providing practical insight into international supply chains, branding, and commercial execution at scale.

Her professional path then expanded into Information Technology, where she worked across a wide range of technologies including security cameras, 3D printing, television and broadcast equipment, specialized hardware, software systems, and custom devices. This technical background sharpened her ability to understand complex systems, infrastructure, and operational risk, skills that later became critical in business consulting and funding strategy.

She later earned a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Business from Grace College, further strengthening her expertise in organizational leadership, financial stewardship, compliance, and sustainable growth across both mission driven and revenue generating enterprises.

Alongside technology, she stepped into service driven entrepreneurship by helping individuals and organizations set up and launch group homes for adults with special needs. This work required navigating licensing, compliance, funding, staffing, and operational readiness, reinforcing her expertise in building businesses that must meet strict regulatory and financial standards.

Her career continued into high level technology operations, where she ran secure networks for government entities. In roles where trust, precision, and accountability were non negotiable, she managed sensitive systems and critical infrastructure, further solidifying her reputation for discretion and strategic execution.
At the height of her career, she made an unconventional decision. She gave away her possessions, walked away from her job, and traveled the world. That experience reshaped her perspective on freedom, purpose, and what it truly means to build a life and business on your own terms.

Today, she brings every chapter of that journey into The Money Pot. She is the founder and operator of multiple businesses across both for profit and nonprofit sectors, giving her a rare, hands on understanding of how different business models are built, funded, governed, and scaled. Her focus is no longer just building businesses for herself, but making other people’s businesses and dreams come true. She combines the mindset of a banker, the discipline of a technologist, the insight of a global strategist, and the heart of a builder.

The Money Pot exists because she understands, firsthand, how long it can take to figure things out alone. Her mission is to shorten that path for others, remove unnecessary barriers, and help entrepreneurs move from vision to execution with speed, structure, and confidence.
